Step-by-Step: New Aadhaar Enrollment
Aadhaar enrollment must be done in person at a UIDAI enrollment center. Here's the complete process:
Book an Appointment Online
Visit appointments.uidai.gov.in and book a slot at the nearest Aadhaar enrollment center. Select your state, district, and preferred date.
Locate Nearest Enrollment Center
Find the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or enrollment center. These are available at banks, post offices, government offices, and designated private centers.
Visit with Original Documents
Go to the enrollment center on your appointment date. Carry original documents for identity, address, and date of birth proof.
Fill the Enrollment Form
Fill the Aadhaar enrollment form at the center with your full name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email.
Biometric Data Capture
The operator will capture your fingerprints (all 10 fingers), iris scan (both eyes), and photograph. This is your unique biometric identity.
Verify & Submit
Review all your details on screen. If everything is correct, give your consent. The operator submits your application.
Collect Acknowledgment Slip
You'll receive an acknowledgment slip with a 14-digit Enrollment ID (EID). Keep this safe — you need it to track your Aadhaar status.
Track Status & Download e-Aadhaar
After 15-30 days, check status at myAadhaar Portal. Once generated, download e-Aadhaar from eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in. Physical Aadhaar letter is also sent by post.
