What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Government scheme launched on 24th February 2019 that provides ₹6,000 per year financial assistance to eligible land-holding farmer families. The amount is transferred directly to the farmer's bank account in 3 equal installments of ₹2,000 each.

How to Register for PM Kisan Online
Visit PM Kisan Portal
Go to pmkisan.gov.in and click on "New Farmer Registration" in the Farmers Corner section.
Select Registration Type
Choose "Rural Farmer Registration" or "Urban Farmer Registration" based on your location.
Enter Aadhaar Details
Enter your Aadhaar number, select your State, enter the captcha code, and click "Get Data".
Fill Personal Details
Enter your full name (as on Aadhaar), category (SC/ST/OBC/General), farmer type (Small/Marginal/Others), and other personal details.
Enter Bank Account Details
Enter your bank account number, IFSC code, and confirm. This must be an Aadhaar-linked bank account for DBT.
Enter Land Ownership Details
Select your state, district, sub-district, village. Enter survey/Khasra number, Khata number, and area of land (in hectares).
Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of land ownership documents (Khatauni / land records).
Submit & Save
Review all details and submit the application. Note down the registration number. Your application goes to state / district officials for approval.

PM Kisan eKYC — How to Complete
Online eKYC (OTP-based)
Visit pmkisan.gov.in → Click "eKYC" in Farmers Corner → Enter Aadhaar → Verify with OTP → Done!
Biometric eKYC (at CSC)
Visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) with your Aadhaar. Complete biometric verification (fingerprint/iris). CSC operator will update your eKYC.
